If something looks wrong with your numbers, the FAQ and the math cover most of it — in particular, calories come from Apple Health, so a total that looks off is usually a question of what is writing to Health rather than what Cal/d is reading.
Planned work is on the roadmap, and you can try upcoming builds on TestFlight.
